I was surprised to find such a comprehensive museum in such a small city. more on igougo

Pretty good presentation of the history of Albuquerque and occasional excellent traveling exhibits--but, other than that, the Albuquerque Museum seems to be a typical small city space that features little known local artists and a mix of obscure wanna be avant garde pieces--combined with a very good representation of New Mexico 20th century art and occasional bits and pieces of excellence. more on Yahoo! Located adjacent to the Old Town District of Albuquerque this city owned museum is combination of fine art and local history with a special gallery for hosting traveling shows. more on igougo
