Children will get to explore interactive exhibits on plants and animals, culture, history and more at this excellent children's museum. There is a special area just for tots, where parents can take a breather while their young ones explore and play. Founded in 1899, this museum has the distinction of being the oldest museum just for kids in the U.S.

I was not glad that I got there late (5 min) as they are free from 10am-11am on the weekends and also 1st fridays from 5pm-8pm. more on TripAdvisor
