The Salem Art Fair used to be a wonderful free event, but now the Art Association charges admission. more on TripAdvisor

Paved paths in the park bring you to play structures, a babbling brook, a mini-apple orchard, an historic building (open to the public during designated hours), a gazebo, a rose garden and a variety of unique trees and shrubs. more on KidsPlayParks

There are open fields for a pick-up game of frisbee, football or soccer. more on KidsPlayParks
