This huge and internationally renowned archaeological museum has dozens of galleries dedicated to ancient and modern cultures from around the world. It's known for its Egyptian and Sumerian collections, but also holds artifacts from civilizations like the ancient Maya and East Asia, along with many others. The Beaux Arts building which forms the core of the museum is a university landmark.
