The Sumter Museum (Thomas Sumter House) is a paltry excuse for a museum. There is very little to see, nothing to do, and virtually no educational benefit from going. My son Matthew, who is currently in the 3rd grade, had the wonderful opportunity to go to the Sumter County Museum for their Sumter County Jubilee.
