I was impressed by the wealth of knowledge and showmanship displayed by the museum guide. His very animated guided tour around the grounds included anecdotes, quotes, humor, but above all a sobering and detailed account of the horrific battle waged here by our fellow Americans. loved the tour and the museum

The Carter House is full of history. There are bullet holes in the buildings and the museum is small but excellent. In fact, it is one of the most interesting civil war museums that I have viewed.
