You can't find the town of Brazosport on any map. Why? Because it's the affectionate nickname given to the cities that make up Brazoria county, which include Brazoria, Freeport, Lake Jackson, and Clute. The Brazosport Center for Fine Arts and Science is a huge natural sciences museum in the heart of Brazoria country. It's 45,000 square feet include the museum, a planetarium, an art gallery and theater. Kids will love the high-tech planetarium shows and dinosaur bones, and couples will enjoy strolling hand-in-hand down the center's picturesque nature trail that runs along Oyster Creek. Admission is free to the museum, gallery, and nature trail. Admission to the planetarium is $4 for adults and $3 for students. The center is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
