The Dallas Museum of Art is considered one of the finest art institutions in the country, featuring more than 24,000 items. Originally opened in 1903, the museum moved to its current location in the Dallas Arts District in the mid-80's. A number of special events are held at the Dallas Museum of Art, including jazz concerts under the stars and monthly late nights where the museum stays open to midnight.
