Nice campground
This was one of the nicer campgrounds we have been to. You could almost call it a mini-Yosemite. It has almost everything to offer, albeit on a smaller scale: waterfall, river for swimming/wading, many good hikes, nice ranger-led events/programs. REMARKABLE!!!!!
This beach is soooo beautiful!!! We are from N.C. and had tried 3 different years to FIND IT! Finally this year we stopped at the Ranger's Station and ASKED where it was! Terrific Campground
It you're a car campers like our family, you can't do better. The campground is in an amazing location. The ride down (or up) Highway 1 to get to Big Sur must be one of the most beautiful drives in the world. At camp, the bathrooms are clean, the toilets flush, the showers are warm (not hot) and ... Stay at this campground! Big sur rocks!
This was one of my favorite campgrounds ever and my husband agrees it is great too. We only stayed one night and wished we had a week there. I was very impressed with this campground. Only a short drive from Monterey, weekend campers can easily leave Monterey afterwork and be at their site to put up their tent before sundown.
