Great for families and outdoor people!

We took a quick day trip to Mt. Diablo and had so much fun. It was much more than I expected. I think our favorite part was Rock City, an area of the park known for its giant sandstone formations. Directions

The park may be accessed by vehicle from either the Danville area (Mount Diablo Scenic Boulevard) or the Walnut Creek area (North Gate Road). Highway 680 to Danville; take Diablo Road exit, then 3 miles east to Mount Diablo Scenic Blvd.
