Watch for Gators!
This was a cool place to go to, to get a break from the husle and bustle of Orlando and the theme parks. It's about a half hour drive outside of the Orlando and it seems very popular with locals. As a native of Orlando I have fond memories of going to Wekiwa Springs State Park as a child and have continued the tradition with my own family. The teenagers helping out at the canoeing and giftshop didn't seem pleased to be there in the first place...
Gets pretty crowded during the weekends so this is not the place for you if you want something peaceful and quiet.

This place was paradise. Clean, well kept, peaceful. The water is comfortable for a spring. I am used to spring-fed lakes in Michigan which are considerably colder.
