We've been to the Key Deer Refugee several times. Each time, we find the deer in different places. We've had luck on No Name Key (Watson Rd) - all the way to the dead end. Probably the best two spots ... more on TripAdvisor

See the Key Deer before the developers and real estate agencies some how get the refuge opened up . A stable herd of 300 on Big Pine Key. Take a right at the light on to, interesting enough, Key Deer ... more on TripAdvisor

Just off the main highway on Big Pine Key, follow the signs to the Refuge Visitor Center where you can pick up a map to the most likely places to see the key deer. We saw at least 8-10 of them ... more on TripAdvisor
