If you avoid going during big events (such as bike week, speed week, etc.) it's not unusual to have lots of open sites, thus allowing for a very peaceful stay. more on Epinions.com

Some of the reviews noted that the park wasn't kept up, but during our visit the bathrooms were cleaned every day and the sites were groomed for the next campers. more on Epinions.com

Watch out for the raccoons, as they will eat any food left out and I even had one chew through a rubbermaid bin I had to get to the food. more on Epinions.com
