This sprawling state park sits about 45 minutes northwest of the city and is home to a rustic lakeside lodge. The park consists of a 1,950-acre peninsula that juts out into scenic Lake Allatoona, a haven for local boaters. In addition, 18 fully equipped cottages are available, which feature fireplaces, decks and grills. While the cabins do not have phones or televisions, they are nicely appointed and can accommodate up to eight guests. The park also offers 92 tent and trailer sites for $12-16 per night. more on Yahoo! Travel
