Blackbeard Island is reached only by charter boat. Charter a boat from Shellman Fish Camp at Shellman Bluff, phone (912) 832-4331 or launch your own from Barbour River Landing at the termination of GA 131 at Harris Neck Wildlife Refuge. close to: Darien, Georgia

Open sunrise to sunset 7 days a week. Closed 2 weeks annually for deer hunts in fall and winter. Portions of beach may be closed to prevent disturbance to nesting, wintering, or migrating birds.
