Interesting, If Not Remote
We visited the park just after Thanksgiving, so the number of visitors were minimal. The park rangers and staff were very helpful. I noticed that most people neglected the opportunity to ask the rangers about the site, and therein lies the hidden gem of this 'attraction'. You can pick up a brochu... Worth a trip
My husband and I visited Puuhonua O Honaunau during a week long trip to Hawaii in April 2006. We enjoyed this park very much. Great place to spend a day on the big Island
The park is only 5 dollars to enter and its ticket is good for admission for several days. My son and I spent two days at or near the park during our Christmas break dec of 2006 we had a great time.
