This is one of the nicest views on the Las Vegas side of the park, overlooking the edge of the lake from high above. more on Epinions.com

In addition to the scenic views from the road, this section between Boulder City and Henderson, Nevada called the Lake Shore Scenic Drive includes designated water skiing areas, fishing areas, scuba areas, sailing areas, marinas including the spot where most of the boat tours embark from, the start of several popular hiking trails, a campground, and several picnic areas. more on Epinions.com

Swimming is not only allowed but encouraged with the caveat that no lifeguards are posted along the beach areas. more on Epinions.com
