There are several good swimming holes in Travertine Creek that you can easily walk to, as well as a nice trail that leads to the nature center. more on TripAdvisor

It was about a 20-minute drive from where we had stayed. more on TripAdvisor

We also really appreciated that there was no alcohol allowed, which contributed to the family atmosphere and probably also the peace and quiet at night (which can be hard to come by in most campgrounds). more on TripAdvisor
