If you go to the Track this August, skip The Carousel Restaurant. From the $3.50 per person seating charge to the ridiculously high prices to the awful food, you're better off spending your money at the many food vendors surrounding the track.

From the NY Metro Area: NY Thruway (1-87) to Exit 14. West on NY Route 9P, just outside the track gates. The track can also be reached by an alternate route, leaving the Northway at Exit 13N-US route 9
