Airlie Gardens is the place to go in Wilmington for peace, solitude, and natural abundance. 100 years of age, this garden has been delighting visitors with its formal garden park, famous azaleas, and an oak tree believed to be 500 years old. Many would say a trip to Wilmington wouldn't be complete without the Airlie Gardens experience.

Its such a nice, relaxing walk among live oaks, azaleas, spanish moss, etc. The fountain is by far the best, most beautiful part of the gardens. more on Yahoo! Travel
