Great visitors center in old mill

This center is located in an old mill, near Old Salem. They have a great deal of information available, there are Moravian cookies for free and they also provide a number of excellent driving tours, with maps, of the area on CDs that you can keep for free. Quaint settlement in an urban setting

Beautifully preserved 18th century town on the doorstep of downtown Winston-Salem. It's very family-friendly - there was a brass band concert going on in Salem Square when we were there. Rave about the Moravians

This is a really nice place to see the way people lived in the 1700 and 1800's. The village is NOT Williamsburg, but it is a very nice look at a Moravian community of yesteryear. Historic Moravian Community

An interesting historic place to visit with a great church, cemetery, square, Winkler Bakery and an informative visitors center.
