We saw a chipmunk!

After driving 700 km there we spent a whole day on this train looking at scrub brush. If you go in the dome car you get to see the tops of the scrub brush. Lotsa snow!

If you're railfan, you'll love this trip. We went at the end of January 2004, after we'd had a few weeks of more or less steady snowfalls. It really was a "Snow Train." Agawa Canyon Train Ride

What a waste of time and money!

As the title indicates, a waste of time and money. For the rewards, few and far between, $173 for a family of 5 was far too expensive. And the time commitment was not worth the return. Date of Trip: Late August, 2002 PROS: Great scenery, courteous/knowledgeable/helpful staff, not crowded, leisurely pace, beautiful park at canyon, nice trails/waterfalls, interesting artifacts, along with an opportunity to talk with the engineer AND climb up into the cab of one of the locomotives...
