loved the beaches

I love walking along Agate Beach and the other beaches searching for agates, and exploring Seal Rock. I fell in love with the Historic Pier District and I have several favorite shops I always make a point to go into. The people are friendly even in the second hand stores in town. ... What a great lighthouse!

We had a great time visiting the Yaquina Head Lighthouse. After seeing it from our hotel room, Agate Beach - Best Western, we just had to take the time for a tour. Interesting place...

I'm sure the lighthouse would have been more interesting if the view from the top had been something more spectacular than the fog. The prism was pretty cool though, the size and magnitude of the light's shell was interesting to geeks like me. It's kind of fun to imagine the long boring nights th...
