This was one of the nicer campgrounds we have been to. You could almost call it a mini-Yosemite. It has almost everything to offer, albeit on a smaller scale: waterfall, river for swimming/wading, many good hikes, nice ranger-led events/programs. ... more on TripAdvisor

we went to Pt.Sur on last weekend. We waited for about 45min for the tour. In a way it was worth waiting coz the ocean front of Pt Sur and light house are amazing BUT tour duration was too long (FULL 3 HRS).... more on TripAdvisor

How can you not be in awe of the beauty of the California coastline? Big Sur is amazing, and camping here lets you soak up all of it. The campground isn't overrun with cars or RVs, just people... more on TripAdvisor
