Getting there: I'd rate the drive there from the Central Valley (Modesto /Manteca area) as an easy drive. more on Epinions.com

Walk out on the boardwalks and you can climb down at low tides and search the pools, we found a whole in tact abalone shell. more on TripAdvisor
