There are excellent food provisions in Garberville, which is about 8 miles North of the campground. more on Epinions.com

There are many hiking trails, some of them easy where you will experience the forest of redwoods along with Douglas fir, hemlock, and many ferns, wild azaleas and blackberries. more on Epinions.com
