This was the very first time I have ever seen the ocean and I truly think that visiting the pier and the beach was the best place to experience this for the first time. more on Yahoo! Travel

It was a great place to live, but perhaps a touch overrated. Balboa island was most picturesque and the piers are both beautiful, but most of the natives in the area are a little less than friendly.
