Parts of it are a little rocky, but overall the walk is very relaxing. more on Epinions.com

There are apparently several established mines in the area where geodes are brought out by the thousands and these are sold in area shops for varying prices depending upon the quality of the inside; there is a minerology museum in Deming with many beautiful specimens on display. more on Epinions.com

There are also camping facilities with electric service available in Rockhound (daily fee somewhat higher but still quite reasonable). more on Epinions.com

You fill out the envelope, insert your money (unless you have a national parks pass--in which case entry is free) and tear off the pass to stick to your windshield. more on Epinions.com
