... as we were passing through town on our way to New Orleans. FYI: this hotel is now called the Holiday Inn Express. The hotel wasn't great. It was a place to sleep and that's about it. ... nor bad: old, but clean. It was pretty noisy, but I sleep well ;) No other complains. Not that far from Santa Monica Beach (about 25 minutes). Many restraunts around. A great value if the price is right

... returned from a 2 night stay in mid-December. The initial price I was quoted over the phone was $119. IMO, that would have been too much for this motel.
