Amazing Home
Toured Monticello in March, 2007. Monticello was the home of Thomas Jefferson. Pronounced "mon tih chello," it means "little mountain" in Italian. A wonderful day of history...
I recently spent the day at Monticello during a business trip that took me to the area. I arrived early in the morning right at opening and was able to take the house tour immediately upon my arrival. Later in the day there was a two-hour wait! Great Afternoon
I recently spent the afternoon at Monticello. We arrived on a Saturday around 12:45 and could not get a ticket for a tour until 2:20. This was no probelm at all! A tour of Monticello is a great way to spend a relaxing summer afternoon. The wait can be quite long for the actual house tour, but the grounds, garden, and views are specatacular.
