Wolf Creek: Incredible Powder/Conditions and Nice Folks

Pros: amazing conditions, i.e. tons of powder, no lift lines, very friendly staff Cons: no high-speed lifts, access to resort may be limited after heavy snowfall due to location on one side of a mountain pass I'm from the east coast and this was my first introduction to true powder skiing and it was awesome. Icy in December!!

Totally rinky-dink set-up

Let me begin by saying I know we went over Spring Break and we expected crowds/lines. Not only did we get that, but we also got an extremely poorly managed ski resort to boot. After talking with many others the majority ruled that "this is our first time here *and* our last". Monday, March 13, 2006 was dubbed a "train wreck" by one and nearly everyone agreed. Arriving about 9:20 on Monday, in no hurry to do anything but get our kids in ski school and rent equipment for a lesiurely first day on the mountain, my husband spent 45 minutes in line buying kid's ski school tickets/rentals.
