golden era of marbel/brass and beveled glass gone

stayed over the labour day weekend and am very disappointed in what the new owners are doing to the once elegant GN. The beautiful marbel is covered with wood pannelling, beveled glass and brass mirrors on the ceiling are being changed to brown paint. Construction walls are up every where. We went to Vegas apx 5 years ago and stayed on the "strip". I didn't like it, said I never wanted to go to Vegas again. Husband talked me into going again because it was cheap.
