Nice grounds, cool pool, OK service

This is a fantastically Texas themed resort on the outskirts of a really interesting city. My wife and I spent a weekend here for our 10th wedding anniversary May 6 to 9, 2004. The Good: The hotel is very nice and clean, rooms are adequate. The pool is absolutely great and was the highlight of the stay. They have a rambling river that has a gentle little current. It's quite peaceful to float around on a Thursday afternoon when school is still in session. When the weekend comes, it starts filling up with kids. The spa was pretty good according to my wife, who had several treatments while we were there, although the Lake Austin Spa was better according to her (the 8th year anniversary gift.)
