A Hidden Gem

All my life (and I'm 45) I have seen the signs saying "See Rock City" but never had...so this time I made a point to do so. Yes it's a little commercial but all in all my family did enjoy it. Nice (but expensive) view

They have enough signs to lure to in but a city of rocks it is not. They have hugh limestone boulders which are beautiful. The view looking down of the junk yards and fuel tanks is not that great. A visit is a must !

We purchased tickets for Rock City, Ruby Falls and the Incline Railway and I would recommend all three. Take a map of Rock City with you and identify where you are through the map with delightful names like "Fat Mans Squeeze", a narrow gap through the rocks. The swing bridge was excellent and it ... Not the best views

perhaps it was our fault for going on a cloudy day. View was Ok, but desk clek at our hotel referred us to the Raccoon Mountain Power Plant and they had much better view (and free !!).
