About Dallas
Dallas Texas is a large city that is full of history. Dallas is a very diverse city that offers unlimited opportunities to experience the many layers of Dallas Texas. Whether you are visiting on business or a family planning a Dallas Texas vacation, you will not be sorry that you made Dallas your choice. One very special place that should be included in your Dallas Texas vacation itinerary is the Dallas Arboretum. When you pass through the gates you forget where you are. You forget that you are in one of North America’s largest cities. You feel as though you are deep in the garden of paradise. With beautiful flowers and evergreens surrounding you; and ornate bridges passing over restful ponds, you find yourself in a serene place.
Two miles from downtown in an easterly direction you will find the Texas State Fair. Every kid in the family will want to visit here on your Dallas Texas vacation. This is the typical state fair done Texas style, bigger and better. Admission is a little high, but worth it. Did I mention that they claim to have the world’s second largest Ferris wheel?
Make one of your Dallas Texas vacation days a day for the kids. Plan a visit to the Children’s Museum at the Museum of Nature and Science. Here you will find displays that will help answer every child’s everyday questions. They will learn about some of the things that live in their backyards, or what makes water do what it does. They will learn what makes the sky so blue, or so gray. Your child can be a fireman or woman and learn what a fire fighter does. They can also choose to be urban farmers and learn about gardening and what get from our gardens. This is a great stop and the admission charge is very minimal.
