The coasters are great fun for a roller-coaster junkie like me, and since they still have quite a few animal exhibits for the kids its still educational and a great school field trip. more on Epinions.com

Season Pass in hand I passed through the security checkpoint with ease not to mention the front gates which beckoned me to enter. more on ThemeParksOnline

I was then able to later ride four more times-once more in front, two in back, and once in the middle, trying to make sure I had a balanced view of the ride. more on ThrillNetwork.com

Discovery Kingdom (Marine World) is a waste of money. It costs $15.00 to park, $49.99 per adult, and $29.99 for any child over the age of 2. The food quality is incredibly poor, while the prices would make you hope for gourmet. While ... more on GoCityKids

One Day in Hercules

One Day in Hercules

by Jana Lane

Ah, Hercules. I almost missed you as I was tooling along highway 80 between San Pablo and Crockett. If I hadn't noticed my gas gauge was almost on empty, I might never have seen your fair city. After filling up, I decided to look for a bed and breakfast, but instead, I found an English teashop called the Captain's Cottage (apparently, I had wandered into Pinole). Well, why not? I can eat crumpets with the best of the girls. Anyway, my granny's from England and I had bit of a craving for clotted cream. Long story short: after a lovely tea, I ended up spending a few hours hiking in Wildcat Canyon (work off that cream) and finished off the day some garlic baked oysters and brews at the Powder Keg Pub. Great adventures in America! more >
