A great family place

Lake Compouce is a very family friendly, relaxing theme park. They have a thrilling sky ride- yeah, that's right- thrilling. It is a ski lift that goes up a steep mountainside- 45 minutes round trip- for some great views and steep drop offs that curled my toes. The river raft ride is the best I h... worth every penny

My family and I live in Poughkeepsie NY.... The closest theme park is Playland (60 miles)...We were bored of the same park year after year... ans decided this past ('04) summer to drive up to Lake George Six Flags http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatescape/index.asp," ( 140 miles).
