You are driving through south Georgia on a hot summer day. The kids are cranky, and you can't wait to see Orlando. Outside of Valdosta, a billboard advertises Wild Adventures Theme Park, "Over 100 Rides & Attractions." Stop for the day or a couple of days-you might forget all about Florida. True to its billing, Wild Adventures has one hundred things to see and do, without the crowds and lines at the Florida theme parks. Seven roller coasters and five water rides range from wild to mild. A tram puts you up close and personal with elephants, antelopes, zebra, lions, tigers, kangaroos, wallabies, birds, monkeys, and reptiles. You can pet small animals and hand-feed giraffe. They have really short lines. The waiting lines are shaded so even when it's really hot waiting is easy. What a great value. For the price of one day at other theme parks we got two days to Wild Adventures including their water park ... more on Yahoo! Travel

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I went on President's Day weekend. Two of the best coasters, Cheetah (a wooden coaster) and Boomerang (a reverse-incline sling-shot kind of coaster) were closed. It felt more like a fair than a theme park. ... more on Yahoo! Travel

The only good thing about this theme park are the concerts - which is about all that puts Valdosta on the map to begin with. The rest of the theme park is a poor, small scale imitation of Disney World. If you've never been ... more on Yahoo! Travel

Wild Adventures may be fun for people with small kids or those who've not ventured far from their birthplace - EVER. As far as theme parks go, this ranks at the bottom of the scale. While no one can expect a theme park to compare ... more on Yahoo! Travel

I come from Atlanta where there's Six Flags, White Water, and Great Adventure. To me, Wild Adventures is nothing but a year-round fair. It is probably really fun for children, because most of the rides are for children. This is ... more on Yahoo! Travel
