Back in the 1960's, Oklahoma City had two major amusement parks; Springlake Park and Wedgewood Amusement Park. At that time, "Frontier City" was just one of those little parking lot parks with a few "western" store fronts, a train and some kiddie rides. It was a highway tourist trap in appearance. Over the decades it has grown into one of the most beautiful theme parks in the great plains and the other two mentioned parks are now defunct. For a small Six Flags park, Frontier City in Oklahoma City rocks! When I was there, the first ride I was on was called the Diamondback. To me, that is the scariest ride in the park.
