Who would have that Dahlonega would have the largest collection of kangaroos outside of Australia? Well, it does, and you can find them right here at the Kangaroo Conservation Center. This well-maintained 87-acre wildlife park offers excellent guides who will lead you through the grounds to show off the nine different species of kangaroo that live here currently. An extra bonus is the lush butterfly garden where you can stop to rest your feet. Admission is $18 - $30. Definitely call ahead as times for tours are often subject to change.
