Unexpected treat down the road from LV

Historic downtown that is still used by locals but nice spot for visitors. Unpretentious and not expensive with restaurants (no chain), gift and antique shops, and places of business such as hardware store, banks, etc. Boulder City Dam Hotel is a historic landmark, with a museum.
