I've been there to celebrate 4 th of July,it's the best place to see the fireworks!
Also in a regular day it's a safe and nice park,if you have a kite that's the place to bring it!

Nice place to hang out for a while, picnic with the family (4/5 BBQ are available)...when I went there, there was lot of art student from a nearby university (Washington U, I suppose, the campus is within walking distance from the park) trying ... Gas Works Park

Gas Works Park is one of the best parks in Seattle. You can see the old gas work pipes while your kids play on a huge jungle gym.
