Internationally renowned, the Monterey Bay Aquarium leads the world in terms of conservation efforts. To visitors, however, the main focus is the animals, of which there are many. Highlights include the enormous Open Sea exhibit with a two-story glass wall, the Kelp Forest that showcases local undersea fauna, the stingray touch tank, and of course the ever-popular otters.
