Situated on Pier 39, the Aquarium of the Bay is a modestly sized facility that is a great family attraction. Visitors make their way through 300 feet of acrylic tunnels as sharks, fish, and other marine animals go about their business above them in more than 700,000 gallons of San Francisco Bay water. There are more than 20,000 animals on display.

My husband and I visited here while on vacation and had a blast here. I admit I was a little disappointed at first with the limited amount of animals on display on top but then we took the elevator down and that changed everything.more on Yahoo! Travel
