• Brookfield Zoo is a world-class zoo in a park-like setting.  It is located just outside Chicago in the suburb of Brookfield, Illinois and in convenient to I-55 and I-290.  It is open 365 days per year, usually from 10am to 5pm, with extended hours on weekends and in the summer.  Basic admission is $10.00 for adults and $6.00 for children.  Parking is $8.00 in either of 2 lots.  Beware:  there are additional charges for certain exhibits such as children's zoo, Hamill Play Zoo, butterflies, dolphin show and the zoo's shuttle, the Motor Safari.  These can add up.  It is probably better to buy a combined ticket.  I think it is currently $21.00 for adults, but I forgot what it is for children. d  See their website, www.brookfieldzoo.org for current hours, prices and special ... more on tripadvisor.com
