Overpriced, Under-maintained

We are avid zoo-goers, couldn't even list all the zoos we've been to. We enjoyed them , large or small. But, I have to say Knoxville Zoo was one of our least enjoyable zoo visits. We had perfect weather - the day after Easter - and arrived to a small crowd at opening time. We paid the $14.95 admission price and were immediately wowed by the first exhibit you encouter - The Black Bear Exhibit. It was marvelous. Everyone can enjoy a day at the Knoxville zoo !

Knoxville zoo is a great place to take children. For the area it is one of the best zoos around! They have a new area called KIDS COVE. Knoxville Zoo is open 364 days of the year, weather permitting. The only day Knoxville Zoo is closed is Christmas Day, Dec. 25.
